Project title: “Improving teaching, learning and researching in medical physics in SE European countries
using modern technologies, innovative pedagogies and clinical practice”
Project code: 2025-1-RO01-KA220-HED-000362472
Project acronym: TechMP
Duration: November 2025-October 2028
Total budget: 400,000 Euro
The project “Improving teaching, learning and researching in medical physics in SE European countries using modern technologies, innovative pedagogies and clinical practice” is co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme, Cooperation Partnerships in Higher Education
Project Manager: Lect. Mihaela Tinca UDRIȘTIOIU
The project aims to develop the clinical and theoretical skills of students and teachers who teach subjects in the field of medical physics. The project also aims to improve the clinical experience of teaching staff, research in medical physics, networking, and teaching methods used in medical physics to make the teaching process more interactive and attractive to students. The project will facilitate the exchange of experience and good practices between partner universities regarding teaching activities, the organization of workshops, webinars, and conferences for students, the joint development of teaching materials, and the writing of scientific articles.
The project activities are organized into three work packages: WP1 Project management, WP2 Production of teaching materials to be used in activities with students and teachers within the community of practice, WP3 Organization of activities with students and teachers in the community of practice created within the project.
Project results: 1. Four digital modules: a) Writing a scientific article and the need for approval of studies by ethics committees when data concerns human subjects; b) Detectors used in radiotherapy, nuclear medicine, and medical imaging; c) EU regulations and professional fundamentals in medical physics; d) Innovative teaching methods targeting artificial intelligence in medical physics 2. A laboratory guide with experiments, simulations, and treatment plans using various specialized software; 3. A collection of treatment plans; 4. Six videos incorporating virtual reality; 5. Two scientific articles; 6. A course description for students in the bachelor's program in medical physics; 7. Four career maps for Romania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, and Greece.
