TechMP - Project launch conference
Launch conference of the project TECH MP and the first transnational meeting
On November 29-30, 2025, representatives of the institutions forming the TechMP project partnership (the University of Tetovo, Paisiy Hilendarski University in Plovdiv, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and Geniko Nosokomeio Papageorgiou Hospital) met in Tetovo, North Macedonia, to establish the modalities for carrying out the activities proposed in this cooperation project for innovation and exchange of good practices in higher education. The main aim of the project is to promote the exchange of teaching experiences and best practices among partner universities in Southeast Europe concerning teaching activities, organising a practice community with workshops, webinars, and conferences for students enrolled in the bachelor's and master’s programmes in medical physics, collaboratively developing teaching materials, and authoring scientific articles.
The project launch conference on November 29, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., held at the University of Tetovo, North Macedonia, took place in the presence of the local press. Project managers Mihaela Udriștioiu from Ucv RO and Bashkim Ziberi from UTNMK spoke about the project and the importance of the expected results for the academic community and students of the bachelor's program in medical physics in the countries participating in the Tech MP project partnership.
In the first part of the meeting, representatives of the partnership gave valuable presentations on topics related to the project (The Role of the Medical Physicist in Medicine, AI and immersive technologies in Medical Physics, Medical Physics Education at Plovdiv University, The Role of Medical Physicists at the Papageorgiou Hospital, Medical Physics at the University of
Craiova, Education and Training of Medical Physicists in North Macedonia). Questions and discussions among the participants followed these presentations.
In the second part of the transnational meeting, the following deadlines, responsibilities, and activities to be developed by each partner in the future were established.
The 13 representatives of the project consortium discussed topics that focused in particular on: Project objectives and results, Project management, Project promotion and dissemination, Organising activities with students and teachers within the community of practice, Open discussions and coordination of activities.
The discussions clarified issues raised by participants, and the agreed deadlines for project deliverables were summarised in the Action Plan for TechMP document, which was approved by all those present.
The first day of the meeting ended with a joint dinner, a way to get to know each other on a personal level and build relationships that will help ensure good communication among the consortium partners.
The last day of the meeting included a visit to the hospital in Tetovo's medical imaging department.
